The analysis predicts that the global air passenger volume will grow at an average annual rate of 4.7% between 2014 and 2023, with 19,000 new passenger and cargo aircraft added, about 12,400 low-fuel aircraft to be retired and replaced by new aircraft, and the global market demand for new wide-body passenger and cargo aircraft to reach about 9,300, accounting for 30% of the total number of new aircraft in the same period. The number of aircraft worldwide is expected to increase by 1%, of which Asia will increase by 35%.
